The Short Tokina 50-135 Review
May 14th, 2012
This will my short review on the Tokina 50-135 lens. To be honest, it will be hard for you to read some reviews out there so here I will be writing one to help you out. You can often hope for the high quality performance from Tokina. This lens is primarily designed for people who love shooting telephoto. The center sharpness of this lens is very good indeed. Thankfully, the border sharpness is great as well. With this particular lens, I was able to take some really nice shots of my high school sports team. Many people are amazed with the quality and think that I am a professional photographer. If you are new to this photography world, I would highly recommend taking a look at this lens. You will not be disappointed with the quality that this lens can bring to you. My recommendation to you is to grab this lens and try it out.
This Tokina 80-400 lens is simply superb. The glass quality surpasses my expectations. I have also owned a Canon 70-200mm f/4 L lens and it is not better than the Tokina lens. When shooting wide open at 400mm at f/5.6, I am getting great colors and details in the images. The tripod ring when put in the normal operating position without the tripod makes me want to operate the focus ring with my left hand. I was surprised when this happen. Turning the ring 180 degrees will take care of that problem. I will be taking this lens on a vacation in a few days and I will give it a more serious test. So far, I am highly pleased. This is a first class lens with great optics. It offers great value for money and it does what it says on the box. I only wish it had an Image Stabilization feature.
